DODA: Government Dy. SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College Kastigarh today organised a Nasha Mukt Pledge and cleanliness drive under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to sensitise students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and benefits of healthy, clean and responsible lifestyle.
The programme commenced with the administration of the Nasha Mukt Pledge by HoD Environmental Sciences Dr. Sumit Kotwal. Students and faculty members collectively pledged to stay away from drugs and other intoxicating substances and contribute towards building a drug-free society. They were also encouraged to spread awareness among their families, peers and communities about the physical, psychological and social consequences of substance abuse.
Later, a cleanliness drive was conducted around the college campus. Students and staff actively participated in cleaning the campus premises, removing waste and promoting responsible waste disposal practices.
Principal of the College Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and staff. He underscored the importance of nurturing both a drug-free mind and a clean environment. He called upon the students to act as responsible citizens and contribute actively towards building a healthier, cleaner and drug-free society.
