JAMMU, Oct 28: Mithun Manhas, President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar on Monday and briefed him on various initiatives being undertaken for the promotion and development of cricket in Jammu & Kashmir.
He was accompanied by Rohan Jaitley, Chair of the BCCI Infrastructure Committee, and Brig Anil Gupta, Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
During the meeting, the delegation held detailed discussions with the Chief Minister on strengthening cricket infrastructure, nurturing young talent, and expanding training facilities across the Union Territory to enhance sports participation at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister appreciated the BCCI’s efforts and assured full government support for initiatives aimed at providing better opportunities to aspiring cricketers from J&K.
