JAMMU: Jammu City witnessed an extraordinary spell of rainfall in the past 24 hours, recording 190.4 millimetres of precipitation till 8:30 a.m. Sunday. This has gone down as the second-highest single-day rainfall for the month of August in nearly a century. The only higher mark, remains the 228.6 millimetres recorded on 5 August 1926.
