BANDIPORA: Razdan Top, the only road link connecting Gurez Valley with Bandipora, witnessed a spell of fresh light snowfall on Saturday, leading to a dip in temperatures across the higher reaches.
According to officials, the snowfall began in the early hours, though traffic movement on the Bandipora–Gurez road remained open. Authorities, however, have urged commuters to drive cautiously due to slippery conditions on the mountainous stretch.
The change in weather brought cheer to both locals and tourists, marking an early glimpse of wintry charm in north Kashmir.
The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate precipitation in the higher reaches of north Kashmir over the next 24 hours.
