MUMBAI: Jio Payment Solutions Limited (JPSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jio Financial Services Limited, has launched cross-border payment solutions aimed at helping Indian enterprises, exporters and digital businesses accept international payments more seamlessly. The launch follows authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for JPSL to operate as a Payment Aggregator for Cross-Border (PA-CB) transactions covering both exports and imports. JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has trapped and arrested Khadam Hussain, a clerk posted at the Treasury Office, Kalakote, Rajouri, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 from a complainant. According to the ACB, a written complaint was received from a retired fourth-class employee of the Health Department, who sought to withdraw his gratuity amount of ₹50,000 from the Treasury Office, Kalakote. LAOS: Mandalao Elephant Conservation and Vantara, a global wildlife conservation organisation based in Gujarat, India, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen elephant welfare, veterinary care and conservation efforts in Laos. As part of the partnership, an Elephant Rapid Response Team was inaugurated at Mandalao Elephant Conservation in Luang Prabang in the presence of Lao Government representatives. Vantara has provided a fully equipped mobile elephant veterinary unit to enable the team to respond to sick and injured elephants across Laos, covering both wild and captive populations. NEW DELHI: Umer Un Nabi, who was killed in the November 2025 Red Fort car blast, was the alleged mastermind and operational in-charge of a revived Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) terror module, the National Investigation Agency has said in its chargesheet filed in connection with the attack. The chargesheet alleges that Nabi, also known as Pinda and Rahul Bhat, had been working since early 2022 to revive the dormant module and build a network of radicalised persons for carrying out terrorist activities against the Indian State. NEW DELHI: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday approved three railway multitracking projects worth Rs 10,783 crore across five states, which will add about 656 km to the Indian Railways network and increase freight-handling capacity. The projects, announced by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during the Cabinet briefing, cover parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and are planned to be completed by 2029-30.
