JAMMU: Jammu Police intercepted a bus carrying suspected adulterated paneer during the intervening night of September 13 and 14, 2026, and seized 20 bags of the suspected dairy product at Greater Kailash Naka in the jurisdiction of Police Station Gangyal.
The bus, bearing registration number JK02CE-4300, was intercepted during checking, following which the suspected adulterated paneer was found being transported in the vehicle.
Police immediately informed the Food Safety Department and called its officials to Police Station Gangyal for necessary action. The recovered paneer was subsequently handed over to the department for examination, sampling and further proceedings in accordance with law.
Further action in the matter is being taken by the concerned department under the prescribed legal provisions.
Jammu Police said it remains committed to safeguarding public health and taking prompt action against activities that may pose a threat to public safety.
