DEHRADUN: Heavy rain continued to pound Uttarkashi as rescuers resumed their operations on Wednesday in Dharali, searching for flash flood victims amid the rubble. Nearly half of the picturesque Dharali village was ravaged by the flash flood on Tuesday afternoon. POONCH: The Army on Tuesday said there has been no ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. “There have been some media and social media reports regarding ceasefire violation in Poonch region. UTTARKASHI: Disaster swept through the Himalayan village of Dharali on way to Gangotri on Tuesday with a massive cloudburst leading to flashfloods that barrelled through homes, trees and cars, trapping 60-70 people and leaving at least four dead. Dharali is the main stopover on way to Gangotri, the origin of the Ganges, and home to many hotels, restaurants and home stays. UTTARKASHI: Responding swiftly to a landslide near Dharali village in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Tuesday, the Indian Army mobilised 150 personnel who reached the site within 10 minutes and immediately launched rescue operations. The incident occurred around 1.45 pm, approximately 4 km from the Indian Army camp at Harshil.
