UDHAMPUR: One woman was killed and nine others sustained injuries when a mini-bus met with an accident near Sharda Mata Temple on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur on Wednesday. An official said that the injured were immediately shifted to the Associated Hospital of Government Medical College Udhampur for treatment. “Unfortunately, one lady died in the mishap while nine others have been hospitalized. Police are on the job, and further investigation is underway,” the official said. Police have taken cognizance of the incident.

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revised its Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation projection for the financial year 2025-26 downward to 3.1% for the financial year 2026 (FY26), a significant reduction from the 3.7 per cent forecast made in June. While announcing the outcome of meeting of Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said, “CPI inflation for the current year 2025-26 is now projected at 3.1 percent. KULGAM: At least two people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries on Wednesday after a tree and a boulder fell on a tent in the upper reaches of the Kund belt in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
