ANANTNAG: District Administration Anantnag today accorded a warm farewell to the outgoing Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Sunny Gupta, on his transfer and posting as SSP Kishtwar, during a function organized at the DC Office.
Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Dr. Muzamil Maqbool Beigh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Tariq Ahmad Malik, and other district officers and officials attended the function.
While observing that transfers and postings are part and parcel of the civil service, the DC congratulated the officer for his brief yet effective and successful tenure as ASP. He expressed confidence in his abilities and hoped that with greater dedication, he will deliver even better at his new place of posting.
Dr. Bilal appreciated the officer for his proactive approach and significant role in various important assignments and flagship campaigns such as SANJY-2026, Nasha Mukt JK Abhiyan, Har Ghar Tiranga, and Vande Mataram @150, among others. He further highlighted his contributions in mounting an effective response, especially during flash floods and disaster-like situations.
Wishing the officer success in his future endeavors, the DC remarked that the officer has a long service career ahead and, with his skills and commitment, should contribute to the betterment of J&K and the nation at large.
Officers present during the function appreciated the outgoing officer for his leadership skills, support, and decisive handling of various issues.
Citing multiple examples, they acknowledged that his professionalism led to smooth coordination between the civil and police administrations in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunny Gupta expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner and his team for their constant support and guidance during his tenure. He thanked the people of Anantnag for their cooperation in all important matters and for making his tenure memorable, adding that the district would serve as a beacon throughout his entire service career.
