SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta on Sunday administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chirag Bhanu Singh as Judge and Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal as Additional Judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan here.
Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia was present on the occasion.
Chief Secretary K.K. Pant conducted the proceedings and read out the warrants of appointment issued by the President of India, formally appointing Chirag Bhanu Singh as Judge and Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal as Additional Judges of the High Court.
The ceremony was attended by Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Secretary to the Governor Sandeep Bhardwaj, senior judicial, civil and police officers, besides other dignitaries.
The swearing-in marked an important constitutional occasion and added to the strength of the judicial institution in the State.
