JAMMU: A senior Army officer on Tuesday reviewed operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu, officials said.
The review was carried out by Lt Gen P. K. Mishra, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, who visited forward areas along with the GOC of the Crossed Swords Division, according to Army sources.
During the visit, Lt Gen Mishra interacted with troops deployed along the Line of Control and assessed the overall readiness on the ground. He was briefed on the various measures being undertaken to strengthen defences and enhance operational effectiveness in the sector.
In a post on X, the White Knight Corps stated that the visit focused on evaluating preparedness and ensuring robust security arrangements along the LoC.
