JAMMU: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers on Thursday held a flag meeting along the International Border in the R S Pura sector, officials said.
The meeting took place near the Bullechak Border Outpost following a request from the Pakistan Rangers in connection with an incident of firing, they said.
During the meeting, the BSF clarified that the firing was part of a scheduled training exercise conducted within its area of responsibility.
Officials said the interaction was held in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides reiterating their commitment to maintaining peace and stability along the International Border. The meeting was described as part of established confidence-building mechanisms to address operational issues and prevent misunderstandings.
