REASI: Ranvijay Singh, Trustee of the J&K Dharmarth Trust, on Tuesday visited the historic Gauri Shanker Temple at Arnas in Reasi district to review preparations ahead of the upcoming Maha Shivratri celebrations.
The visit was undertaken to assess arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of religious activities during the auspicious festival, which is expected to draw a large number of devotees.
During the inspection, the Trustee reviewed the overall condition of the temple premises and took stock of facilities being arranged for pilgrims, including cleanliness, drinking water, lighting and other essential amenities. Emphasising the need to maintain the sanctity of the shrine, he also stressed ensuring convenience and safety for devotees.
Ranvijay Singh interacted with temple functionaries and staff and issued necessary directions to ensure that all arrangements are completed well in advance of Maha Shivratri.
Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated the J&K Dharmarth Trust’s commitment towards the preservation, maintenance and development of ancient temples and religious institutions under its management. He said the Trust is making sustained efforts to uphold religious traditions while simultaneously improving infrastructure and facilities for devotees across Jammu and Kashmir.
He further stated that the Trust remains dedicated to safeguarding the region’s spiritual and cultural heritage and continues to work for the welfare of pilgrims visiting temples under its care.
The Land Record Officer, J&K Dharmarth Trust, accompanied the Trustee during the visit.
