UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa and Labour Commissioner J&K Charandeep Singh, who is also the District Mentor for digitisation of revenue records and effective monitoring and supervision of its implementation, today jointly chaired a meeting to review the progress of farmers’ registration and data updation under AgriStack in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, while all Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars participated through virtual mode.
While reviewing the progress, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure maximum coverage of eligible farmers under the AgriStack registration process.
The SDMs and Tehsildars were directed to organise farmer registration camps and facilitate the timely disposal of inheritance mutation cases in identified villages to accelerate the registration process and ensure maximum enrolment of eligible farmers. He informed the meeting that necessary steps are being taken for the generation of farmer IDs and directed all concerned to expedite the process.
The District Mentor directed all concerned departments and field functionaries to intensify efforts and ensure completion of Farmer ID generation by October 31, 2026.
He emphasised the need for close coordination among all concerned departments and effective mobilisation of field functionaries to achieve the assigned targets within the stipulated timeline.
