NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday met Australian High Commissioner Philip Green and Professor Susan Marks of the London School of Economics (LSE) in the national capital.
The update on the meeting was shared by the All India Congress Committee (AICC). According to the official website of the LSE, Susan Marks joined the university in 2010 as Professor of International Law. She previously taught at King’s College London and, before that, at the University of Cambridge, where she was a fellow of Emmanuel College.
According to the official website, “Her work attempts to bring insights from the radical tradition to the study of international law and human rights”. Susan is a ‘Fellow of the British Academy’.
Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with the Australian High Commissioner to India, Philip Green, comes as, earlier in September, Green praised India’s growing role on the global stage.
He described Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar as “giants” and highlighted the growing momentum in the Quad, while also outlining opportunities for deeper India-Australia cooperation in agriculture, technology and healthcare.
