JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), J&K Chapter, held its Annual General Body Meeting and Change of Guard ceremony at Amar Singh Club, Jammu, marking the beginning of a new leadership term for 2026-28.
In a symbolic change of baton, the outgoing team led by Chairman Ar. Vikas Dubey handed over charge to the newly elected office-bearers. Dubey was lauded for taking the J&K Chapter to national prominence and was also congratulated on his elevation to the National Council of the IIA.
Ar. Vishal Abrol assumed charge as the new Chairman, with Ar. Harbinder Pal Singh as Vice Chairman. The new team also includes Ar. Sandeepu Dhar and Ar. Sunil Nagari as Honorary Secretaries and Ar. Manu Rajput as Honorary Treasurer.
The Executive Members are Ar. Arshia Khajooria, Ar. Kulbir Thakur, Ar. Anoop Sharma, Ar. Vivek, Ar. Randhir Chand, Ar. Annav Sharma, Ar. Kushagra, Ar. Maninder and Ar. Archana Razdan.
The programme was conducted by Ar. Arshia Khajooria, while the welcome address was delivered by Ar. Anil Verma. Ar. Harbinder Pal Singh proposed the vote of thanks.
In his address, the new Chairman pledged to strengthen the chapter’s national-level networking and work towards the welfare and professional interests of the architectural fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir.
