JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday handed over an appointment letter on compassionate grounds to Dr Vaishali Misra, wife of J&K Police Sub-Inspector Sachin Verma, who lost his life in a road accident in Srinagar last year.
The Lieutenant Governor assured Dr Vaishali Misra and the bereaved family of all possible assistance and support from the administration.
PSI Sachin Verma, who was serving with the 23rd Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP), died in an unfortunate road accident in the Nowgam area of Srinagar on August 11, 2025.
The appointment has been provided as part of the administration’s compassionate appointment mechanism to extend support to the family of the deceased police personnel.
