JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday ordered the promotion of 11 Inspectors of the General Cadre as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 450-Home of 2026, issued by the Home Department on September 2, the promotions have been sanctioned in Pay Level-8 (₹47,600–1,51,100).
The officers promoted as DySPs are Sheikh Azad, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad, Mohd. Amin, Mohd. Alyas Malik, Sanjeev Kumar, Mohd. Farooq, Bahar Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad, Mir Riyaz Ahmad and Farooq Ahmad.
The order states that the promotions will be subject to the outcome of any writ petitions, if pending before a competent court of law.
The order has been issued by Chandraker Bharti, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, by order of the Lieutenant Governor.
