JAMMU: Vivek Suri, General Secretary and Captain of the Veterans Cricket Association J&K, has been selected to play for the North Zone Veterans Team in the forthcoming 50+ and 45-over series against New Zealand, scheduled in New Delhi.
Suri, a prominent name in veterans’ cricket, has an illustrious track record. He earlier represented North Zone in the Inter-Zonal Veterans Cricket Tournament held at Indore in 2022 and again at Bhopal in January 2025. Under his leadership, Team J&K registered a remarkable victory in the Legend Masters Inter-State Veterans Cricket Tournament in Jammu in 2024. He has also led J&K with distinction in the North Zone Veterans Cricket Tournaments at Haridwar and Faridabad, where his leadership and batting performances earned wide recognition.
The Veterans Cricket Association J&K has extended warm congratulations to Suri on his selection, describing it as a proud moment for the cricketing fraternity of the Union Territory.
Over the years, Suri has been instrumental in promoting veterans’ cricket in J&K, both on and off the field. His latest selection is being celebrated as yet another feather in his cap and a matter of pride for the region.
