SRINAGAR: A heartwarming video from south Kashmir’s Anantnag district went viral on Sunday, showing eight-year-old twin sisters, Zainab and Zaiba, inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the valley and extend help to families affected by the recent floods.
The video was filmed during BJP leader Ravinder Raina’s visit to Jablipora Fruit Mandi, where he met horticulture traders who had suffered massive losses due to landslides and the highway blockade.
In the clip, the twins could be seen enthusiastically praising Kashmir’s beauty and urging PM Modi to witness it himself.
“We want Modi ji to visit Kashmir because it is really beautiful. His visit would add to the valley’s splendour,” Zainab said, as the crowd applauded.
Highlighting the hardships faced by locals, Zaiba added:
“We have suffered huge losses. Our bridge was washed away in the rain. Apple traders and orchard owners have suffered terrible damage.”
The sisters also appealed for a cold storage facility in Kokarnag to preserve apples and other fruits, with Zainab charming the audience by adding:
“An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”
Their innocent yet powerful message has resonated widely, with many social media users hailing the twins as the “little ambassadors of Kashmir.”
