BUDGAM: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Budgam of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) organised a one-day capacity development programme on “Export Quality Standards and Branding of Agricultural Products” in collaboration with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Ministry of Commerce.
More than 50 students of Degree College Soibugh and progressive farmers participated in the programme.
Dr Azra Mufti, Business Development Manager, APEDA, along with scientists of KVK Budgam, delivered expert lectures on export quality standards, branding practices and procedures for taking agricultural products to international markets.
Professor and Head, KVK Budgam, Dr Bilal Ahmad Lone, and KVK scientists interacted with the participants and discussed issues related to production, quality and market access.
The programme also provided an interactive platform for farmers to raise their concerns directly with experts, who offered practical guidance on addressing them.
The programme aimed to strengthen the capacity of farmers and students to understand global quality requirements and explore opportunities for branding and export of agricultural products.
