KULGAM: A review meeting of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) under Mission YUVA was held today at the Meeting Hall, Kulgam, under the chairmanship of the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kulgam Altaf Ahmad Khan.
The meeting was attended by the SBDU team consisting of Assistant Director Employment, District Nodal officeJKEDI, Lead District Manager JKB, ,IPO DIC, Credit Incharge, Cluster bank JKB, Career Counselling Officer and Employment officer from Employment department.
The newly posted Assistant Director Employment, Kulgam, Rahil Amin, briefed the Chair on the targets, progress and achievements registered under Mission YUVA in the district through a detailed presentation. Individual targets and performance of members of the SBDU-BHD teams were also discussed and reviewed.
A comprehensive presentation on the district’s performance against key Mission YUVA Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) was followed by a detailed review of block-wise applications, BHD/SBDU verification, DLIC approvals, bank sanctions and disbursements, first-tranche releases, CGTMSE coverage, interest subvention, rejected cases, capacity building, mentorship, completion reports and market access through ONDC.
The progress under the Lakhpati Didi initiative and Udyam Jagriti 5.0, particularly the initiatives for students relating to Hackathon and Neo-Innovative Applications, was also reviewed. The meeting laid emphasis on grassroots mobilisation, panchayat-wise performance and strengthening the four key pillars of Mission YUVA—Culture, Capital, Capacity and Connectivity (4Cs).
The Chair emphasised the need for intensified awareness and outreach activities, timely verification of applications, stronger coordination and linkages with banks, expeditious disposal of pending cases and continuous handholding of aspiring entrepreneurs at every stage of the process.
The Chair further directed the teams to work with greater coordination and a result-oriented approach, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries are supported from application to sanction, disbursement and subsequent handholding.
Time-bound targets and an accelerated roadmap were accordingly set for the SBDU-BHD teams to further strengthen the implementation of Mission YUVA in the district and ensure that its benefits reach every eligible youth and aspiring entrepreneur across Kulgam.
