KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting with the Heads of the Hydroelectric Power Projects (HEPP) to review the progress of registration and engagement of apprentices in the Power Projects under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). He also assessed the registration of workers and contractors associated with the Hydroelectric Power Projects in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner sought detailed status of the registration and engagement of eligible apprentices by NHPC, Kiru HEP, Kwar HEP, Pakal Dul HEP, L&T, Afcons, JPL and other agencies/contractors associated with the execution of Power Projects in the district.
The DC directed the Heads of Projects to ensure 100% registration under NAPS and engagement of eligible apprentices as per the applicable provisions “All pending cases related to NAPS registration and apprenticeship engagement should be completed positively by today evening,” he stressed.
The meeting was attended by GM DIC Mohsin Raza; Chief Planning Officer Suresh Kumar Sharma and the officers and officials of the concerned Power Project authorities.
