PATNITOP: Rakesh Dubey, JKAS, has assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer of the Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) and reviewed ongoing tourism development initiatives in the region.
Soon after taking charge, Dubey convened a meeting with officers and employees of the Authority and called upon them to work with sincerity, dedication and commitment for the overall development of tourist destinations falling under the PDA.
He said collective efforts and innovative planning were essential to develop Patnitop and its surrounding destinations and position them prominently on the world tourism map.
During the meeting, the CEO undertook a comprehensive review of tourism infrastructure and various developmental initiatives. Detailed discussions were held on improving visitor facilities, enhancing the overall tourism experience and expediting important projects.
Special emphasis was laid on the early completion and operationalisation of the Sanasar Golf Course, which is expected to emerge as a major tourist attraction and give a boost to high-value and experiential tourism in the region.
Dubey also stressed the need to preserve Patnitop’s pristine natural environment and directed that sustained efforts be made to make the tourist destination polythene-free.
He called upon all stakeholders to contribute towards cleanliness, environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable tourism.
Expressing confidence in the officers and employees of the Authority, Dubey said that with teamwork, sincerity and a focused approach, the PDA could transform the region into one of India’s leading mountain tourism destinations.
