JAMMU: Railway Police Jammu conducted a mock drill at Jammu Railway Station to assess emergency preparedness and strengthen security arrangements for the smooth and safe conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.
The exercise was carried out with the joint participation of sister agencies, which acted as emergency responders during the drill.
Various emergency scenarios were simulated to evaluate the preparedness of security personnel, emergency response mechanisms, evacuation procedures, and inter-agency coordination in the event of any untoward incident.
The mock drill concluded successfully, demonstrating effective coordination, prompt response, alertness, and professionalism among all participating agencies.
The exercise forms part of the comprehensive security measures being undertaken to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims travelling for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
