JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu hosted the Nasha Mukt Nukkad Natak Competition ‘Aarohan’ under the campaign “One We Are One,” welcoming torch bearers of the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan and promoting awareness against substance abuse.
The event witnessed the presence of several eminent dignitaries. Vaibhav Kohli, Excise Commissioner, Jammu, attended as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour included Sanjay Bhatt, Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu, and Kapil Sharma, Zila Sainik Officer, Reasi.
The panel of judges comprised Bhupinder Singh Jamwal, Cultural Officer, JKAACL, Shubam Sharma, IIM Jammu, and Dr Jyoti Malhotra, Senior Lecturer Zoology, JKBOSE.
Among the Special Guests were Sashi Choudhary, Director JK Public School, Rajeev, Principal JK Police Public School, Sonakshi Anand, Director Operations Jammu Sanskriti School, Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice Chairperson Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, and Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairperson Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu.
Participating teams presented impactful nukkad nataks highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society. Through expressive performances and meaningful dialogues, students delivered strong messages of awareness, prevention, and recovery, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in combating substance abuse.
Excise Commissioner, Jammu, Vaibhav Kohli (JKAS), appreciated the efforts of organisers and participants, emphasising the crucial role of youth in building a drug-free society. He highlighted the importance of community participation in strengthening the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan and encouraged students to act as ambassadors of positive change.
Principal cum Vice Chairperson Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, Rohini Aima expressed pride in hosting the initiative, stating that the institution remains committed to nurturing socially responsible citizens and providing platforms for students to express social concerns through creative mediums.
The programme was anchored by RJ Shwetima Jamwal, whose engaging presentation added energy to the event.
International Daily Rising School emerged as the winner of the competition, while Government Higher Secondary School, Khanna, Chargal secured the first runner-up position and Airforce School, Satwari finished as second runner-up. Shivanganam clinched the Best Actor trophy, while International Delhi Public School received the consolation prize.
The event concluded on a positive note, with participants and dignitaries reaffirming their commitment to supporting the mission of a healthy and drug-free society.
