JAMMU: Mild earthquake tremors were felt in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning after an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 struck Kishtwar district.
According to details, the earthquake occurred at around 09:57:54 IST. Officials said the epicentre was located in the Kishtwar region at Latitude 33.289 North and Longitude 76.739 East with a depth of 10 kilometres.
The tremors were felt in various areas, causing brief panic among residents who rushed out of their homes and offices as a precautionary measure.
Officials said no reports of loss of life or damage to property had been received from anywhere in the Union Territory till the filing of this report.
