NEW DELHI: Director of Amar Singh Sports & Youth Initiative (ASSYI), Jammu and Kashmir, and Trustee of Hari Tara Charitable Trust, Martand Singh, called on Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta in New Delhi on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Singh briefed the Governor about various activities and initiatives being undertaken by ASSYI for promotion of sports, youth development and empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir.
He also apprised the Governor of efforts aimed at preservation, conservation and promotion of heritage at the Amar Mahal Museum in Jammu, besides philanthropic and social initiatives of the Hari Tara Charitable Trust.
The meeting also covered issues related to youth engagement and development as well as the prevailing political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir.
Governor Kavinder Gupta shared his views and guidance on sports, youth empowerment and constructive engagement of young people, drawing on his experience in public life and his association with Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.
He appreciated the initiatives being undertaken by Martand Singh to promote sports, nurture young talent and preserve the cultural and heritage legacy of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Governor also felicitated Martand Singh with a traditional Himachali cap and shawl as a gesture of goodwill.
