JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir administration has dismissed two government employees under Article 311 of the Constitution for their alleged involvement in terror-related activities, reinforcing Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
The terminated employees are:
- Ghulam Hussain, a teacher in the Education Department, accused of working as an Over Ground Worker (OGW) for the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Authorities allege he maintained links with terrorists and facilitated recruitment and funding in the Reasi district.
- Majid Iqbal Dar, a teacher and former Lab Assistant, reportedly involved in narco-terrorism, radicalization of youth, and terror financing through drug proceeds. He is also suspected to have links with IED-related activities in Rajouri, and allegedly continued subversive work even while in detention.
Officials stated that the action was taken after gathering credible evidence and security inputs regarding their involvement in activities prejudicial to national security.
