LEH: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, today chaired a high-level security review meeting to assess the prevailing security situation in the Union Territory.
Senior officials from the UT Administration, Ladakh Police, Army, and Central Armed Police Forces briefed the Lt Governor on the current scenario.
Speaking at the meeting, Gupta said, “The Administration is committed to maintaining peace, safety, and stability across Ladakh. Vigilance and preparedness remain key to addressing any emerging challenges.”
The discussions also focused on the phased relaxation of restrictions, with the Lt Governor emphasising that any easing would be implemented cautiously, balancing public safety with the resumption of routine socio-economic activities.
Gupta lauded the people of Ladakh for their exemplary restraint and cooperation, stating, “The cooperation and resilience of the people is instrumental in restoring normalcy in the region.” He further stressed the importance of continued coordination with security agencies to ensure peace, harmony, and stability.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the UT Administration, heads of security agencies, and representatives from the Army and Central Armed Police Forces.
