JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a series of transfers, postings and additional charge assignments involving senior IAS and IPS officers with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 1718-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department on October 31, Shailendra Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 1995), Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, has been assigned the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department.
Anil Kumar Singh, IAS (AGMUT: 1995), Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Public Works (R&B) Department, will also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department.
Vikramjit Singh, IPS (AGMUT: 2004), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department, has been assigned the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department.
Mir Tariq Ali, IAS (AGMUT: 2010), Director General, Women and Child Development, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Civil Aviation Department.
Mohammad Akbar Wani, IAS (AGMUT: 2013), Director, Social Welfare, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department.
Meanwhile, Leena Padha, IAS, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K, has been assigned the additional charge of Mission Director, Skill Development Mission, alongside her existing duties.
The orders have been issued in the interest of administration and will remain effective as specified in the government order.
