UDHAMPUR: The District Administration Udhampur today attended the live telecast of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) here at District Police Lines (DPL).
The programme was organised to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, and to reaffirm the ideals of national unity, integrity and solidarity.
The live proceedings, which commenced at 5:00 PM, were attended by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Swarn Singh Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Ananth Dwivedi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh, CPO Udhampur Uttam Singh besides other senior officers and officials of the civil and police administration.
The gathering witnessed the Prime Minister’s address, wherein the significance of national unity, the spirit of nation-building and the enduring legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel were highlighted.
The observance underscored the importance of collective responsibility, mutual harmony and a shared commitment towards safeguarding the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation. The participation of officers from the civil and police administration reflected their collective resolve to uphold the ideals of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
