KATHUA: Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua convened its School Management Committee (SMC) Meeting on June 18, 2026, bringing together distinguished educationists, eminent citizens, community representatives and school leaders to deliberate on the institution’s achievements, progressive initiatives and future roadmap.
The proceedings commenced with a welcome address by Mili R. Sumbria, Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua and Member Secretary, who warmly welcomed the members and expressed gratitude for their continued guidance and support. In her address, she reiterated the school’s commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, innovation and value-based education.
The meeting was attended by Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairman, Jammu Sanskriti Schools; Harleen Anand, Director Operations, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua; Mili R. Sumbria, Principal and Member Secretary; Sumit Pal Singh, Vice Principal and Subject Expert; Arti Rajput, Headmistress; Ravinder Singh Slathia, Eminent Citizen; Dr. Sulakshna Mengi, Eminent Pediatrician; Pawan Attri, Assistant Professor, Government Degree College Kathua and Member Representative; Padam Dev Singh, Local Member, Retired Police Officer and Eminent Citizen; Sarabjeet Kaur, Parent Representative; Kamaljeet Kohli, Parent Representative (CWSN); Kumari Nisha, Staff Representative; and Mosmi Andotra, Staff Representative.
During the meeting, Mili R. Sumbria presented a comprehensive overview of the school’s academic achievements, infrastructural advancements, safety initiatives, implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and future development plans. She highlighted the institution’s collaborations with educational platforms such as Go Sharpener, the Awakened Citizenship Program by Ramakrishna Mission and CBSE, along with the establishment of the advanced Embibe 3D Lab to promote experiential and competency-based learning.
The Principal also highlighted the school’s initiatives in career guidance and psychometric assessment in collaboration with IDream Career, aimed at helping students make informed academic and career choices. Emphasising inclusive education, she informed the committee about the appointment of Shriya Jasrotia, RCI Certified Special Educator, and Preeti Goswami, Special Educator for Children With Special Needs (CWSN), ensuring personalised support for all learners.
Presenting the key highlights of the institution, Arti Rajput, Headmistress, showcased several achievements and milestones of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua. She highlighted the successful inauguration of the Legal Literacy Club, the student-led platform Sanskriti Vox, the school’s Podcast Series and enthusiastic student participation in the Annual Cyclothon event promoting fitness and social awareness.
Arti Rajput also highlighted awareness programmes and workshops conducted on the POSH Act and POCSO Act, reaffirming the school’s commitment to providing a safe, secure and informed learning environment. She further appreciated the participation of students in the prestigious Behes Boot Camp, which helped nurture critical thinking, communication and leadership skills.
Adding to the institution’s achievements, Arti Rajput announced that Nandani Singh secured an impressive 10th Rank in Jammu and Kashmir in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), bringing recognition and pride to both Jammu Sanskriti School and Kathua district.
Members of the School Management Committee expressed appreciation for the institution’s achievements and commended the visionary leadership of the management, the dedication of the staff and the collective efforts of the entire school community in setting new standards of excellence.
The deliberations reflected a spirit of collaboration, innovation and shared responsibility, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing future-ready learners equipped with knowledge, values and life skills.
