JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School has expressed pride over the achievement of its faculty member and Associate NCC Officer, Ranjana Kumari, who has been commissioned as a Second Officer in the Air Wing of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) after successfully completing the 104 JDPC Pre-Commissioned Course with an ‘A’ Grade at Air Force Station Tambaram.
The prestigious course involved rigorous and intensive training aimed at developing discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service to the nation. The programme required a high level of dedication, endurance, and commitment from all trainees.
During the training, participants were introduced to various aspects of aviation, including training aircraft such as the Pilatus PC-7 and the HAL Chetak helicopter. They were also familiarised with the fundamentals of Air Traffic Control along with several specialised subjects related to aviation.
The course included practical learning experiences as well. Trainees explored concepts of aeromodelling, including control line models and radio-controlled aircraft. As part of hands-on training, they built a chuck glider using balsa wood to understand the basic principles of aircraft design and flight.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Captain Aftab Alam and Captain DVS Chouhan, Course Commanders, along with the dedicated staff of GIS, whose mentorship ensured high standards of training.
Out of 47 trainees who participated in the course, only 12 secured exceptional grading. Ranjana Kumari was among these select achievers, bringing laurels to Jammu Sanskriti School and adding another milestone to the institution’s record of excellence.
Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima congratulated Ranjana Kumari on her accomplishment and appreciated her dedication, noting that her success would inspire young cadets to uphold the values of service, discipline, and leadership.
