JAMMU: The Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu Local Centre, celebrated the festival of Diwali with great zeal and enthusiasm by organizing a “Diwali Milan” event at its Institutional Complex, Sector-3, Channi Himmat, Jammu.
The celebration witnessed active participation of members, making the occasion both joyful and memorable.
The event commenced with the lighting of traditional oil lamps and a vibrant Rangoli, symbolizing the spirit of prosperity and positivity.
Er. Anil Verma, FIE, Chairman, Jammu Local Centre, highlighted the importance of celebrating cultural festivals to foster unity and strengthen social bonds. He emphasized that Diwali, the Festival of Lights, signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Er. Avneet Gupta, MIE, Honorary Secretary, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants for contributing to the success of the celebration.
