JAIPUR: Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta, accompanied by the First Lady Bindu Gupta, on Tuesday paid obeisance at the revered Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple in Rajasthan’s Sikar district and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity and progress of the nation, as well as the well-being of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
The Governor and the First Lady participated in traditional rituals at the temple and sought the blessings of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji, praying for harmony, happiness and the welfare of all.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Gupta said India’s sacred pilgrimage centres have, for centuries, served as enduring symbols of faith, devotion and social harmony, inspiring people to lead lives guided by righteousness, compassion and selfless service.
Later, the Governor visited the historic Shri Govind Dev Ji Temple in Jaipur and offered prayers to Lord Krishna.
He also paid obeisance at the renowned Moti Dungri Ganesh Ji Temple, where he sought the blessings of Lord Ganesha for the happiness, health and prosperity of all citizens. He prayed for wisdom and strength to serve the nation with dedication while upholding the constitutional values associated with public life.
Reiterating the importance of preserving India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, Governor Gupta said safeguarding the country’s civilisational legacy is a shared responsibility. He called upon the younger generation to remain rooted in India’s cultural ethos while contributing meaningfully to the nation’s progress and development.
