JAMMU: Heritage School announced that its Class X-D student Puneesh Puri has been selected to represent India at the prestigious World Skate Europe Track Series 2026, scheduled to be held from April 9 to April 19 across venues in Portugal and Germany.
The international series comprises two major tournaments, including the 21st International Inline Speed Skating Tournament – Terras do Infante to be held in Lagos, Portugal from April 9 to 12, followed by the Arena Geisingen International 2026 in Geisingen, Germany from April 16 to 19.
Notably, Puneesh Puri is the only skater from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir to secure a place in the prestigious international series. His selection by the Simmons Rana Racing Team reflects his consistent hard work, discipline and impressive performances in national-level competitions, where he has won multiple medals.
Despite being the youngest member of the team, Puneesh has displayed remarkable skill, determination and maturity in the sport. His participation at the global level marks a significant milestone in his career and serves as an inspiration for aspiring athletes.
