DODA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Harvinder Singh today launched a structured STEM curriculum at Government District Library, aimed at supporting students preparing for IIT-JEE and NEET examinations.

The initiative will include dedicated reading zones equipped with updated IIT-JEE/NEET reference books, practice tests and previous years’ question papers.
A weekly schedule has been formulated envisaging peer-led study sessions, mock tests and mentorship by experienced tutors and successful alumni, Video lecture screenings and digital subscriptions to national-level preparation platforms; Interactive academic engagement in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, including experiential learning, quizzes and group problem-solving activities.
Emphasizing the need for inclusive educational resources, the DDC said “Many talented students in Doda are unable to access high-end coaching due to financial or geographic barriers. This initiative aims to democratize STEM education and level the playing field for all.”
By transforming the district library into a STEM‑ support hub, the administration hopes to foster academic confidence and open doors for under‑served students preparing for national-level examinations.
Senior education officials were on hand to lend support, and the programme is expected to gain backing from both state and national bodies to further scale localized STEM and exam‑prep infrastructure.
This initiative aims to bridge accessibility gaps—particularly for promising candidates from remote or financially constrained backgrounds.
Later, the DDC also inspected the library facilities, interacted with students, and assured continued administrative support to strengthen educational infrastructure in the region.
