KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam today conducted an extensive inspection of the ongoing construction works at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Mirhama, to assess the physical progress of the prestigious educational infrastructure project and review the status of various components being executed at the site.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed assessment of the progress of the project and reviewed the status of the ongoing civil, allied and developmental works. He interacted with the officers, engineers and representatives of the executing agency TCIL and sought a component-wise update regarding the execution of the works.
It was informed that the project, titled “Construction of Phase-A and Phase-B Works at JNV Kulgam,” is being executed at an estimated cost of ₹40.47 crore. The JNV is being established over 143 kanals of land allotted at Mirhama for the purpose.
He also interacted with staff and students and enquired about the school functioning.
The DC was accompanied by Executive Engineers, Tehsildar Kulgam and other concerned officers and officials.
