KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC)/District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting for the quarter ending June 2026 to review performance of banks and credit flow in the district.
The meeting was attended by LDO RBI Amandeep Singh, DDM NABARD Nipun Sharma, SBI LDM Kathua Aman Jasrotia, senior bank officials and representatives of concerned departments.
At the outset, the DC reviewed the progress under CD Ratio, KCC, PMEGP, NRLM SHGs, PMMY and other credit-linked schemes. Taking note of the present CD Ratio of 52.03%, he directed banks to prepare bank-specific action plans and raise it to at least 60% by the end of the financial year.
The Deputy Commissioner called for speedy disposal and disbursal of loan cases under self-employment schemes, spreading mass awareness about credit-linked schemes and wider coverage under financial inclusion under social security schemes.
The DC directed banks and line departments to work in close coordination and adopt a result-oriented approach to strengthen credit delivery and accelerate economic activity in the district.
LDO RBI stressed strengthening banking facilities at unbanked rural centres and activation of inactive BCs/CSPs, while DDM NABARD highlighted initiatives including AIF, AMI, e-NWR financing and other measures to boost agricultural and allied activities.
