KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma chaired a meeting to review the progress and implementation status of the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) and the Jammu and Kashmir Competitive Initiative Project (JKCIP) in the district.
Detailed discussions were held on the physical and financial progress of various projects, beneficiary coverage, implementation of approved interventions and timelines for completion.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the departments concerned to ensure effective implementation of all components under HADP and JKCIP, focussing on the timely delivery of benefits to farmers and the strengthening of livelihood opportunities in the agriculture and allied sectors.
The DC also reviewed the progress of units established under HADP and emphasised regular monitoring to ensure that the units remain functional and deliver the intended benefits to beneficiaries.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to maintain close coordination, undertake regular field visits and address bottlenecks promptly to ensure that the objectives of HADP and JKCIP are achieved effectively at the grassroots level.
Among those present were CPO Ranjeet Thakur, the Chief Agriculture Officer, the Chief Horticulture Officer, the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, the District Sericulture Officer and the Assistant Director Fisheries, besides other sectoral officers.
