NEW DELHI: The Centre has extended the central deputation tenure of IAS officer Shah Faesal, presently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, for another two years.
According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Culture’s proposal to extend Faesal’s tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme beyond September 18, 2026.

The extension will remain valid up to September 18, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Shah Faesal is a 2010-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre.
The memorandum further states that Faesal has been on central deputation since September 19, 2022.
The order was issued by the Office of the Establishment Officer, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
