BHADERWAH: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal today chaired a meeting to review and finalize arrangements for the smooth, peaceful and orderly observance of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi in the Township and adjoining areas.
For the safety and security of devotees, the Police Department was asked to deploy adequate personnel, supported by magistrates on duty at strategic locations. The Fire & Emergency Services Department would keep fire tenders and emergency response teams on standby to deal with any eventuality. Special traffic management and parking arrangements were also finalized to facilitate the smooth movement of devotees and ensure hassle-free religious processions.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Bhaderwah, SDPO Bhaderwah, BMO Bhaderwah, AE PDD, AEE Jal Shakti, LDO Bhaderwah, TSO Bhaderwah, representatives of the Sheep Husbandry Department, Fire & Emergency Services Department, members of Anjuman Islamia Bhaderwah and Sarna, besides other officers and officials. Officers and officials from Bhalla and other areas also participated virtually in the review meeting.
Tehsildar, SDPO, EO Municipal Committee and TSO were asked to conduct regular market inspections and keep a strict check on the rates, quality and hygiene of eatables being sold during the period.
The representatives from market organizations were instructed to prominently display approved rate lists of eatables at all shops for the information and convenience of the general public.
The ADC stressed that overcharging, profiteering or compromise with the quality of food items would not be tolerated.
