JAMMU: Reinforcing its commitment to safe motherhood and affordable healthcare, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital has introduced a comprehensive Delivery & Newborn Care Package priced at ₹19,999, aimed at making quality childbirth services accessible to every family.

Addressing this challenge, the hospital has designed a transparent, single-bill package covering both maternal and newborn care to ensure affordability, clarity and quality treatment under one roof.
The initiative also aligns with the spirit of International Women’s Day and World Health Day 2026, underscoring the importance of accessible maternal healthcare, safe institutional deliveries and healthy beginnings for every child.
What the Package Covers
The ₹19,999 package includes:
- Obstetrician-led normal or cesarean delivery
- Operation theatre charges, anaesthesia and consumables
- Nursing care
- Essential pre-delivery investigations
- Post-delivery monitoring for the mother
For newborns, the package provides:
- Immediate newborn care
- Paediatrician examination
- Basic observation or NICU support, if required
- Routine newborn investigations
- First vaccination
All services are offered under a consolidated bill with no hidden charges.
Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Institute of Medical Excellence, said childbirth should be a moment of joy, not financial anxiety.

Dr. M. M. Mathavan, Facility Director of the hospital, stated that the concept of “Do Dil Ek Bill” was created keeping common families in mind. He noted that many private hospitals lack transparent bundled delivery packages, leading to uncertainty in final expenses.
