JAMMU: Minister for Transport Satish Sharma on Tuesday informed the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly that, as per the operational guidelines of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), the e-bus service is currently being operated within the Srinagar Metropolitan Region (SMR) limits.
The Minister was replying to a question raised by legislator Rafiq Ahmad Naik in the House.
He informed the Assembly that the Tral constituency does not fall within the SMR limits and is therefore not presently covered under the e-bus network.
Replying to a supplementary question, Sharma said that the government would consider including Tral in the e-bus network once a new fleet of buses is received by the department.
