SAMBA: As part of the ongoing Independence Day celebrations, Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a Poster Making Competition to promote creative expression among students on themes of patriotism, cultural diversity, and national development.
The event was conducted under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, who appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and encouraged them to continue engaging in such constructive and thought-provoking activities.
The theme for the competition was “Role of Youth in Nation Building and Cultural Diversity: The Real Beauty of India”. This initiative aimed to offer students a platform to visually communicate their ideas and aspirations for a Viksit Bharat (Developed India), while also celebrating the cultural richness that defines the nation.
Students actively participated with great enthusiasm, using colours and creativity to depict their vision for India’s progress and unity in diversity.
The competition was judged by Prof. Brham Dutt and Ashok Kumar, who appreciated the originality and message of each submission. Sonika Devi of Semester 3 won the First Prize, followed by Chetna Sanotra of Semester 3 who secured the Second Prize, while the Third Prize was jointly awarded to Bhoomika and Simranjeet of Semester 5.
The programme was efficiently coordinated by Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Convener of Shikshit Bharat. Faculty members including Dr. Snobar, Prof. Brham Dutt, Ashok Kumar and Dr. Shivali Panjgotra were also present during the event.
