SRINAGAR: Kashmir witnessed another harsh spell of cold on Saturday, with minimum temperatures dropping further across the Valley.
As per the latest meteorological data, Shopian remained the coldest spot, recording a biting low of –6.4°C.
Pulwama and Pampore followed closely, each touching –5.2°C, while Baramulla dipped to –5.1°C and Anantnag to –4.9°C.
Srinagar Airport recorded a minimum of –4.8°C, Pahalgam –4.4°C, Qazigund –4.2°C, and Srinagar city –4.1°C. Budgam also settled at –4.1°C.
Awantipora registered –3.8°C, Kupwara –3.5°C, and Bandipora –3.4°C, while Ganderbal recorded –3.1°C. Sonamarg stood at –3.0°C, and Gulmarg saw –2.6°C.
Among the relatively warmer locations, Kulgam recorded –1.2°C, whereas Kokernag, at –0.2°C, was the warmest in the Valley.
With temperatures staying well below the freezing mark across most regions, cold wave conditions are expected to persist in the coming days.
