JAMMU: Indian Hawks Sports Academy achieved an exceptional milestone by bagging an impressive 33 medals at the Jammu District Roller Skating Championship 2025, which concluded recently at MA Stadium, Jammu. The event saw enthusiastic participation from leading skating academies across the district, with the Indian Hawks team emerging among the top performers.
According to the results, the academy’s skaters clinched 20 Gold, 6 Silver, and 7 Bronze medals, making it one of the most successful contingents in the championship. Notably, nine skaters from the academy were crowned Champions in their respective age categories — a remarkable achievement reflecting the academy’s high training standards and sporting discipline.
Chief Patron of the Academy, Er. Ashok Gandotra (Retd. Chief Engineer), expressed immense pride and joy over the stellar performance of the young athletes.
“Our skaters have once again made us proud through their dedication and hard work. Their outstanding performance at the district level reflects both their commitment and the consistent guidance of our coaches,” he said.
He further encouraged the participants to continue striving for excellence in upcoming state and national-level competitions, emphasizing that consistent practice and focus will help them reach greater heights.
Er. Gandotra also extended heartfelt gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association (JKRSA) — particularly President Sh. G.S. Khurmi, General Secretary Sh. Kamal Anand, and the J&K Sports Council — for their unwavering support and for providing a dynamic platform for young athletes.
“Such championships play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of sports talent. We are grateful to JKRSA and the Sports Council for organizing well-structured events that motivate and inspire our skaters,” he added.
Over the years, Indian Hawks Sports Academy has produced several promising athletes who have gone on to represent Jammu and Kashmir at the national level.
The academy’s remarkable success at this year’s district championship not only underscores the potential of its skaters but also highlights the growing popularity of roller skating as a competitive sport in the region.
