NEW DELHI: Global activewear brand Fabletics has opened its first store in India at DLF Promenade, New Delhi, marking its formal retail entry into the country in partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL).
Located at one of Delhi-NCR’s prominent fashion and lifestyle destinations, the store combines Fabletics’ performance-focused apparel with a technology-driven retail experience aimed at India’s increasingly fitness-oriented consumers.
A key feature of the store is its RFID-enabled fitting-room experience. Products carried into the trial room are automatically identified on an in-room tablet, which also displays available sizes and styles. Customers can request alternative options directly from the fitting room.
The launch attracted a queue of more than 100 people. Visitors participated in a balance-board challenge and an in-store claw machine activity, while the DLF Promenade atrium hosted a movement pop-up and a pedal-powered smoothie station.
The Fabletics India collection includes activewear and accessories for women and men, including leggings, pants, joggers, shorts, sports bras, tank tops, tops, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, vests, bags and hats.
Sumeet Yadav, Head, Reliance Brands Limited, said the Indian activewear consumer increasingly expects apparel that combines performance and style, adding that the Delhi store provides an experience-led introduction to the brand.
Meera Bhatia, President, Fabletics, said the India launch marks a major milestone for the brand and brings together its product offering with technology designed around customer convenience and personalisation.
The Fabletics store at DLF Promenade is now open to consumers, with the brand planning its next store launch in Mumbai.
