SAMBA: An RVS (Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana) Assessment-cum-Medical Camp was organized today at the Muskan Home Foundation, Vijaypur by the District Social Welfare Department. The camp was held in collaboration with the Health Department and under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner of Ayushi Sudan.
Organized in partnership with ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India) and the Chief Medical Officer, the camp aimed to provide necessary medical services and assistive devices to local senior citizens.
The ALIMCO team, headed by Dr. Husnain Khan, conducted assessments and enrolled 50 senior citizens for various prosthetic and assistive aids including hearing aids, walking sticks, wheelchairs and other appliances based on their assessed requirements. The distribution of these assistive devices will be organized shortly.
A dedicated medical team including ENT and Dental specialists, along with medical personnel from the Chief Medical Officer’s office, provided medical consultations, examinations and necessary advice to the participating senior citizens.
